Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: May 2, 2026

Survival Kit Writing Collective LLC is committed to making erik-fuhrer.com accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of our trauma-informed and inclusive practice, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a finished checklist.

Standards We Aim For

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the international standard for digital accessibility published by the W3C. The Site has been designed and audited with these principles in mind.

What We've Done

Known Limitations

The Site uses some animated background gradients on banners and hero sections. These animations are subtle, slow, and do not flash. If you are sensitive to motion, most modern browsers and operating systems offer a "reduce motion" preference. We are working toward fully respecting that preference across the Site.

External services we link to (Eventbrite for workshop registration, Kit for email signups, Circle for the Writing Collective community) have their own accessibility practices, which we do not control. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on one of those platforms, please let us know and we will help find an alternative path.

Help and Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Site, or if you need information from the Site in a different format (audio, large print, plain text email), please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or service you need.

Email: erik@survivalkitwritingcollective.com
Mail: PO Box 69235, West Hollywood, CA 90069

We aim to respond to accessibility requests within five business days.

Workshops and Community

Our free trauma writing workshops are held on Zoom and include automatic captions. If you need additional accommodations (live captioning, ASL interpretation, materials in advance, content warnings, or anything else), please email us when you register and we will do our best to support you.

The Survival Kit Writing Collective, launching July 1, 2026, is being designed with accessibility in mind from the ground up. The Circle platform we use supports screen readers and keyboard navigation. Specific community accessibility practices will be detailed in the member welcome materials.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is iterative. We audit the Site regularly and update it as we learn. If something doesn't work for you, that is information we want. Please reach out.
